About The Position
As a Project Specialist at Graybar Electric Company, you will play a crucial role in managing large projects and ensuring that all customer needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires you to work closely with customers on complex orders and time-sensitive deadlines, acting as the primary liaison between vendors and customers. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the delivery of materials to project sites, ensuring that everything arrives as needed for various projects, which may range from constructing new stadiums to renovating hospital wings or handling short-term projects. In this role, you will be responsible for performing order entry on large project orders, preparing and revising material submittals for customers, and managing returns and credits. You will also provide detailed reporting to both customers and suppliers using project management software, ensuring that all parties are kept informed throughout the project lifecycle. Coordination of item deliveries will be a key aspect of your job, as you will need to ensure that all materials are delivered on time to meet project deadlines. Additionally, you will execute job lot billing and process invoices for payment, which requires a strong attention to detail and organizational skills. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong customer service orientation, with the ability to foster relationships with clients and vendors alike. You will need to be proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office, and while a four-year degree is preferred, relevant experience in project management or a related field will also be considered.
