About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform tasks to maintain designated areas in a clean, safe, orderly, and attractive manner. The employee is expected to follow instructions and/or written task schedules to accomplish assigned duties. This position serves all populations of visitors, employees, physicians, and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates all organization related issues honestly, professionally, and timely to Job Coach, Team Leaders, Administrative Assistant, Manager or Director.
  • Performs the duties necessary to support food services and sanitary conditions of the center.
  • Cleans and sanitizes tables, carts and equipment according to written techniques appropriate for that type of material.
  • Performs general cleaning tasks.
  • Follows Center policy regarding storage and security of cleaning chemicals
  • Adheres to BSMH attendance policy (HR-02).
  • Responsible for the use and care of equipment and other center property.
  • Maintains equipment by proper cleaning and storage.
  • Reports dangerous or broken equipment to team leader.
  • Maintains a clean and neat cart, station, closet, and equipment storage area.
  • Understands basic safety procedures (RACE, PASS, MSDS, Etc.)
  • Consistently maintains BSMH standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Performs all assigned tasks effectively in a responsible team environment.
  • Completes work assignments in a timely manner
  • Follows all Infection Control practices, including bio-hazard waste handling, hand washing techniques, and standard or isolated precautions.
  • Maintains a quality standard while performing job duties
  • Maintains a good rapport with fellow associates, families and children.
  • Actively participates in the Continuing Education/Improvement Programs
  • Assists in the orientation of new employees in departmental methods and procedures
  • Responds to unusual occurrences such as flood, spills, etc.
