About The Position

STV is seeking a Project Scheduler for the Construction Management Group in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves developing and maintaining program schedules for various construction projects, interpreting detailed construction drawings, reviewing contractor schedules, performing quality assurance and quality control on schedule submissions, conducting time impact analyses, and communicating effectively with contractors and project teams. The Project Scheduler will also prepare reports and ensure data integrity in program-level standard codes and layouts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years full time paid professional experience in Construction Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor.
  • Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version and MS Office Suite.
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains program schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for construction projects of various types.
  • Independently interprets and reads detailed construction drawings and develops a clear understanding of work scope.
  • Reviews Contractor’s Baseline schedule submissions and verifies that all work scope is identified properly and logically sequenced correctly.
  • Performs QA/QC on contractor schedule submittals for conformance with the contract.
  • Conducts schedule negotiations with the OAR and the contractor for any delay time settlements.
  • Performs Critical Path analysis and Earned Value analysis.
  • Walks the construction sites as needed and checks the contractor’s weekly/monthly schedule progress.
  • Effectively communicates with the Contractor regarding all schedule/progress related matters.
  • Performs Program Schedule QA/QC reviews on a regular basis.
  • Prepares reports as needed and directed by Management.
