Job Summary: The Project Scheduler is responsible for creating, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure the timely delivery of projects. This role involves coordinating with project teams, analyzing progress, and identifying potential delays or risks. The Project Scheduler ensures that all scheduling activities align with project goals, resource availability, and stakeholder expectations. Essential Duties/Responsibilities include some or all of the following: • Develop comprehensive project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent software. • Define task durations, dependencies, and milestones based on project scope and deliverables. • Regularly update schedules to reflect changes in project scope, timelines, or resources. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather inputs for schedule creation. • Communicate schedule status, progress, and changes to team members and leadership. • Ensure alignment of schedules with resource availability and project priorities. • Track project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying variances and potential delays. • Prepare and distribute regular reports, including Gantt charts, critical path analyses, and earned value metrics. • Recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and keep the project on track. • Identify scheduling risks and conflicts, proposing solutions to minimize impact on project timelines. • Perform "what-if" scenario analysis to assess potential changes in the schedule. • Provide insights into resource allocation and potential bottlenecks. • Develop and implement scheduling the best practices and standards for the organization. • Contribute to the improvement of project management processes and tools. • Stay updated on industry trends and scheduling technologies to enhance efficiency. • Travel to any job site as needed. This could include the need to drive a vehicle, fly in a commercial airplane, ride a train, taxi, etc. • This position requires the ability to travel nationally or internationally for extended periods of time (weeks, months or years). • Regular attendance at work is an essential duty. • Other tasks as assigned. • Conform to company Quality, Environmental, and Safety policies, any environmental laws, regulations, standards, and other requirements such as permits to operate
