This is a remote position responsible for developing construction schedules during the pre-construction and construction process. This effort supports projects throughout the United States. This is a US based REMOTE position with 15% travel. Salary Range: $160,000 - $210,000/annual

Requirements

  • Construction Management or Engineering Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in design build and design bid build projects developing CPM schedules in Primavera P6; federal market preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Primavera P6 required including cost loading of schedules.
  • Specific knowledge of engineering principles, related to design, construction, and management of vertical and horizontal projects and in relation to scheduling and costs allocations.
  • Ability to communicate, monitor, and coordinate multiple schedule requirements and milestones.
  • Experience and working knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Able to multi-task; and work efficiently both independently and collaboratively with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to review and provide comments to the Government on contractor project schedule submittals for compliance with contractual requirements
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with computer software to include MS Office (MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.).
  • The ability, upon instruction, to use a computer with government specific software (Resident Management System (RMS)
  • Ability to use in-depth scheduling knowledge alongside the contractor, to identify scheduling issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Critical Path of the construction contractor’s project schedule, along with a forensic review of project documentation and other relevant data, to assess and recommend to the Resident Engineer apportionment of the effects of delays on the project schedule.
  • Identify risk activities and candidates for risk mitigation actions. Communicate opportunities for improvement and makes suggestions for alternative courses of action to reduce schedule risk to the Resident Engineer.
  • Validate and verify schedule logic enabling the schedule to portray accurate status.
  • Prepare reports and briefing charts for management, clearly communicating impact of the current schedule status, forecasts of delay or acceleration, and identifying concerns.
  • Assist the COR in creating multiple project schedules, as necessary, including each of the methods of delay analysis, capability, and “what if" scenarios.
  • Attend schedule review meetings with contractors and participate in evaluation of durations, logic, and overall schedule structure to determine schedule maturity and identifies, to the COR, potential issues that may impact project completion for all assigned construction projects.
  • Check on work-in-progress to ensure that work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with the pre-construction team to develop schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM) in Primavera P6.
  • Interact with pre-construction managers, construction managers, and engineering discipline leads to fully understand the project scope.
  • Evaluate and identify schedule logic/sequencing and constraints based on discussion with the pre-construction and construction teams.
  • Assist in identify project risk, conflicts, and schedule impacts.
  • Evaluate, perform resource analysis, perform critical path analysis, and prepare reports.
  • Develop schedule narratives to support technical proposals.
  • Support the development of cost-loaded schedules and assist in integrating scheduling data with earned value management (EVM) requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with all team members and clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other pre-construction and construction team members.
  • Ensure effective transfer of awarded projects to construction team. Update project schedules as required by the construction team.
  • Create and manage multiple schedules simultaneously.
