The Project Scheduler at Constellation plays a crucial role in the development and management of construction project schedules. This remote position involves collaborating with project managers to set tasks, monitor project timelines, and prepare progress reports. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction scheduling and be proficient in relevant software, contributing to the company's mission of providing clean, carbon-free energy.

  • Consults with project managers and technical experts to set up resource assignments, tasks, and subtasks within defined project constraints.
  • Reviews project schedules, cost estimation, budgets, scopes of work, standards and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains an effective scheduling management system on a per project basis.
  • Coordinates project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders in close coordination with the project manager.
  • Assists in evaluating project performance and preparing project progress reports.
  • Documents project scheduling processes and maintains associated records.
  • 2+ years' experience as a construction project scheduler in a related industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera and MS Project software platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction schedule planning and management.
  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend construction contract language.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English with professional communication and writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills and a high level of aptitude using Microsoft Office applications, as well as project scheduling applications.
  • Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMP).
  • Associate degree in a related discipline (e.g., HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or construction management) with 5 years of related work experience in construction or project management scheduling.
  • Knowledge of typical scope of projects within the ESCO industry for the federal government.
  • Experience utilizing Kahua PM software.
  • Experience in scheduling work in high profile government occupied buildings.
  • Experience with Cost Loading and Resourcing Loading.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge in electrical, mechanical (HVAC), plumbing and general construction.
  • Experience at preparing estimates and value engineering.
