About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and structured professional to join our Global Projects Advisory team in Miami, delivering hands-on project risk management support across active client projects and programmes. This is a delivery-focused role, suited to someone who enjoys being close to execution, working with project teams and contractors, and bringing clarity and structure to complex, fast-moving environments. You will help clients identify, manage, and mitigate risks during critical phases of delivery—such as dry docks, shipyard periods, and contractor-intensive work. The role is partially embedded with clients and includes regular travel across the Americas. The opportunity to work for an organisation with a strong sense of purpose, driven by values and committed to helping colleagues develop professionally and personally through our range of people development programmes. You will gain exposure to high-impact projects, work directly with senior stakeholders, and build deep expertise in delivery-stage risk management and advisory ways of working.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in project management, risk management, management consulting, or a comparable client-facing delivery role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting projects during active execution, not only upfront planning.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams.
  • Clear, structured written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with senior stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working under pressure with tight timelines.
  • Willingness and ability to be Miami-based and travel regularly to client sites across the Americas (typically weekly depending on engagement needs).
  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with capital projects, maritime operations, shipyards, or infrastructure delivery.
  • Familiarity with formal risk management or project controls frameworks.
  • Experience facilitating workshops or multi-stakeholder meetings.
  • Exposure to advisory or seller-doer environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support active projects with hands-on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning.
  • Develop, maintain, and administer project risk registers, action logs, and escalation trackers.
  • Monitor risks throughout execution, ensuring timely follow-up and visibility during high-risk phases such as dry docks, shipyard periods, or contractor-intensive work.
  • Capture emerging risks and lessons learned in real time and feed insights back into project and programme discussions.
  • Support facilitation of risk discussions across multiple projects within a programme.
  • Help standardise how risks are surfaced, escalated, and discussed across project teams.
  • Act as a connective layer between project teams, contractors, and programme leadership to improve risk visibility and alignment.
  • Operate in a partially embedded capacity within client offices and execution teams.
  • Prepare and facilitate structured risk reviews, workshops, and working sessions.
  • Produce clear meeting outputs capturing decisions, actions, owners, and next steps.
  • Build credibility with client stakeholders through professionalism, reliability, and structured communication.
  • Own discrete workstreams within advisory engagements with limited supervision.
  • Develop and manage workplans, timelines, and trackers to support delivery milestones.
  • Maintain high standards of consulting hygiene, including documentation, version control, and traceability of assumptions and decisions.
  • Support proposal development and contribute to reusable risk governance tools and templates.
  • Eliminate or minimise employee exposure to risks by regularly reviewing the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment, and ensuring health and safety is considered in planning and execution of all LR activities.
  • Manage your own and your team’s compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems, and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.
  • Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, and take appropriate corrective and preventative action as necessary, suggesting and implementing improvement activities.

Benefits

  • The opportunity to work for an organisation with a strong sense of purpose, driven by values and committed to helping colleagues develop professionally and personally through our range of people development programmes.
  • You will gain exposure to high-impact projects, work directly with senior stakeholders, and build deep expertise in delivery-stage risk management and advisory ways of working.
