Nooter/Eriksen is seeking a full-time Project Quality Engineer to join our Quality Assurance Team. This role is part of a team that is responsible for overall quality on a project basis, ensuring all requirements of N/E, applicable codes and standards and the customer, are met or exceeded. This individual will possess a strong knowledge of welding, heat treatment, destructive and non-destructive testing methods necessary for producing a high quality product. This position is located in Fenton, MO. The expectation is that this will be a hybrid position depending on business needs. Requirements

  • Four-year degree; BSME preferred, BSChE or BSIE accepted
  • Excellent time management and written and spoken communication skills, highly professional, organized, and trustworthy team player; proficiency in English
  • 2 years of experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication is essential
  • Domestic and international travel up to 15% required for this role, as well as occasional requirements to climb equipment at project or fabrication sites

Responsibilities

  • Resolution of product non-conformances and deviation requests
  • Review of supplier procedures, documentation, processes, procedures, and records to verify compliance and develop system improvements
  • Development and maintenance of documentation to support processes, standards, and project deliverables
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for issues related to codes and standards
  • Develop project-specific quality plans and oversee implementation of quality plan
  • Resolve supplier quality issues
  • Review incoming inspection reports to verify supplier compliance
  • Review and accept quality procedures and documentation
  • Generate ASME Data Reports and perform code certification stamping
  • Review Customer Specifications
  • Participate in pre-inspection and/or kickoff meetings at offsite facilities
  • Other tasks assigned
