About The Position

Dewberry has an opening for a Project Professional Engineer experienced in water and wastewater engineering, planning, and construction in supporting projects Nationwide. Preferred candidates will have experience in disaster response related to water and wastewater problems post-event. The Project Professional Engineer will apply civil engineering principles to solve water and wastewater problems and provide water response alternatives in terms of cost effectiveness and feasibility. Familiarity with operating procedures and equipment at drinking water and wastewater facilities is preferred. Please note, this is a deployment-based position. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, sanitary engineering or related field from an accredited college of university.
  • 4+years of experience in water / wastewater engineering, planning, modeling, and process mechanical design.
  • Specific experience preparing reports and design plans and specifications for municipal water and wastewater system projects, including pump stations, tanks, and treatment facilities.
  • Cost estimation, alternative solution analysis, feasibility analysis of solutions for drinking water and wastewater in an emergency response.
  • PE License required.
  • Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other engineering and support disciplines.
  • Experience interfacing with clients.
  • Proven strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel, as travel will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Work within multi-disciplined teams for the engineering and design of water and wastewater pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks, and treatment facilities in an emergency response environment.
  • Cost estimation and feasibility analysis of solutions in a time constrained environment should be expected.
