About The Position

The Project Procurement Lead will take the lead on all assigned projects, coordinating RFQ packages and ensuring seamless communication between Engineering, Proposals, and Purchasing. This role will manage the procurement process from initial vendor engagement through final proposal submission, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established strategies. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism in every aspect of project execution.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Computer office systems and Microsoft office, particularly Excel.
  • Fluent in English language (Oral and written).
  • Understanding of bidding and buying procedures and work scope.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working under pressure and handling high volumes of work.
  • Infor/LN experience/purchasing module knowledge a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering discipline).
  • 4-10 years of experience in purchasing/contract negotiation in an engineering or manufacturing organization.
  • Understanding of general manufacturing practices, policies and processes.
  • Intermediate to Advanced level knowledge of commercial contracts and service agreements.
  • Ability to evaluate Quotes, including terms and conditions and basic technical responses against customer requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • CPSM certification preferred but not a strict requirement.
  • EPC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate RFQ packages between Engineering and Proposals Department and Purchasing.
  • Liaise with buyers regarding the issuance of RFQ packages to Client Approved vendors.
  • Coordinate between Proposals and Purchasing to ensure that the pricing / execution strategy developed by the Proposals team is implemented in the bid costs.
  • Coordinate and process procurement pricing data received from Vendors, via Project Buyers.
  • Verify and check Buyer inputs and proposals.
  • Summarize pricing onto the standard electronic format for submission to the Proposals Department.
  • Setup and maintain logs for all RFQ’s received by revision and date.
  • Issue RFQs to discipline buyers once received from Engineering.
  • Distribute the Procurement scope (kick-off meeting presentation, engineering deliverables list etc.) at the commencement of each bid to buying team.
  • Prepare pricing report variation strategies as needed or as requested by management.
  • Preparation of procurement proposals intermediate and final management reports.
  • Quality check the costs by calculating and comparing unit rates to ensure the submission is free of error, provide the unit rate comparison to the proposals team on request.
  • Assist in using historical data / pricing, in discussion with the buying team, to provide estimates to the Proposals Team in certain cases where quotes may not be possible to obtain.
