About The Position

The Project Systems Analyst is a hybrid role that combines the analytical rigor of a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Analyst with the technical expertise of a PPM Administrator. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the PPM platform while also delivering actionable insights through portfolio analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will support strategic planning, project execution, and resource management by ensuring system integrity and enabling data-driven decision-making. Remote work flexibility offered in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in project portfolio management, system administration, or PMO operations in a mid-to-large organization (required).
  • Functional working experience in PPM Platforms: Planview, ClickUp, Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet, etc., reporting Tools: Power BI, Qlik Sense, Excel (advanced), and collaboration Tools: SharePoint, Teams, ADO.
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik Sense) (required).
  • Strong understanding of project and portfolio management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in system configuration and data visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and configure the PPM platform to support evolving business needs.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, workflows, and system upgrades.
  • Own the roadmap for system enhancements and vendor coordination.
  • Analyze project and portfolio data to identify trends, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Develop dashboards and reports for executives and PMO leadership.
  • Monitor KPIs and support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with project teams to improve data entry and governance practices.
  • Act as a liaison between IT, PMO, and business units to align system capabilities with organizational goals.
  • Facilitate portfolio reviews and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Provide end-user support and training on both system usage and data interpretation.
  • Maintain documentation, training materials, and audit support resources.
  • Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics.
