The Project Planning and Scheduling Specialist at AECOM is responsible for conducting schedule analysis and providing regular client engagement to support executive reporting for a full-time program. This hybrid role requires strong communication skills and technical proficiency in Primavera P6, focusing on managing and conveying complex scheduling information effectively.

  • Conduct regular field walks (minimum weekly) to aid the schedule review deliverables.
  • Provide contemporaneous schedule analysis, identify and investigate project schedule variances, and provide regular client advisement.
  • Identify and monitor key performance metrics to assist in assessing and reporting the health of the project.
  • Regularly review critical paths, perform what-if analysis, and identify schedule risks.
  • Develop weekly schedule reports comparing plan vs. actual performance.
  • Lead monthly schedule reviews, Time Impact Analysis, and third-party schedule reviews.
  • Validate schedule progress during GC payment application review.
  • Provide schedule input for executive reports, principal meetings, and Architect of the Capitol briefings.
  • Facilitate monthly schedule review conferences and TIA review meetings.
  • Participate in weekly schedule workshop calls.
  • Prepare timelines, stakeholder schedules, and respond to ad-hoc requests.
  • Gather data for schedule baseline development and maintenance.
  • Familiar with construction drawings, specifications, and construction contracting methods.
  • Understand CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement, and construction logic.
  • Understand concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding.
  • BA/BS in Engineering or Construction Management + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Prior field experience on construction projects
  • Experience with Primavera P6 Software
  • PMP Certification
