About The Position

The Project Planning Analyst is responsible for project planning, tracking, scrutinizing, and evaluation of various tasks throughout all project phases to achieve organizational goals. This role involves analyzing and tracking project data to improve project management and construction processes and efficiencies. We are considering applicants with multiple experience levels and skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Associate's degree in a business-related discipline is encouraged to apply.
• Experience in data analytics, project tracking and project management is encouraged to apply.
• Two or more years of experience in data analytics, project tracking and project management for Project Planning Analyst role.
• Four or more years of experience in data analytics, project tracking and project management for Project Planning Analyst Senior role.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Microsoft office software and OMS, DIS, ACIS preferred.
• Proven ability to identify areas for and application of process improvement methods.
• Demonstrated project tracking skills including requirements gathering, resource tracking, project variance updates, schedule development.
• Effective analytical skills to provide actionable information from data.
• Effective critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
• Proven ability to learn new methods, techniques and software as needed to accomplish tasks.

Responsibilities

• Proactively plans, analyzes and monitors construction project activities to achieve corporate goals and drive improvements.
• Review and analyze various construction projects and provide relevant project information.
• Develop and maintain a system to track pre-construction activities and develop visibility of this information.
• Assist in the analysis of workload and resource requirements to prepare forecasts.
• Assist with project tracking and achieving performance metrics.
• Participate in meetings with Project Coordinators, Project Managers and other work groups to provide project information.
• Make recommendations for and initiate the development of new processes and system improvements.
• Interact effectively and collaboratively with Distribution Engineering & Design, Major Construction, District representatives and other internal work groups.
• Monitor project data to identify inefficiencies and help resolve them.
• Ensure the correct priority jobs are being worked by each contractor company and ensure reasonable progress is made.
• Assist with storm restoration support when needed.
