Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for any Manufacturing Engineer related positions.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 for each degree earned
  • 0-3 years of experience in a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical and software development experience for tooling is a benefit
  • Creo 3D CAD Modeling or equivalent experience preferred
  • Fabrication knowledge and experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Generating detailed designs for review
  • Conducting analysis through prototyping, testing and qualification
  • Ensuring designs are suited for high-volume manufacturability
  • Analyzing the performance of current manufacturing tools and processes to determine methods to improve safety, reliability and efficiency
  • Engaging with new product design teams to develop manufacturing tools to meet the unique needs of the new product launches
  • Collaborating with peers across North America to align processes between facilities and establishing the best tooling practices
  • Developing electro-mechanical systems capable of solving complex problems
  • Driving automation of error proofing through customized solutions
