The Project Manager at Galen College of Nursing will oversee and drive the successful execution of projects within the Experience Department. This role is crucial for managing project timelines, resources, budgets, and stakeholder communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager will also provide logistical support for associated project needs, including meetings and other arrangements needed for the department.

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Ensure department is meeting designated timelines and goals.
  • Utilize software such as Smartsheet to manage projects, create dashboards, and track tasks and data as assigned.
  • Ensure project information is current, accurate, and in a reportable format.
  • Conduct proactive follow up to ensure project timeline and deliverables are achieved.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to allocate and manage resources effectively.
  • Motivate and guide project teams to meet project objectives, fostering collaboration and communication.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring accountability and quality of work.
  • Prioritize project management work in accordance with needs of the College and associated stakeholder.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve conflicts and challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders regarding project progress.
  • Create and maintain a repository of information on each project that can be accessed and built upon through multiple project phases or in the development of future projects.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports, providing clear updates on timelines, risks, and outcomes.
  • Manage key documents required for project initiation through execution, ensuring timely review of information and sign off from stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Attend regular meetings to capture key decisions, actions, and assignment of project deliverables.
  • Minimum of an earned bachelor's degree; equivalent experience in lieu of an earned degree considered.
  • A certification in Project management is desired.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of higher education or business operations experience preferred; prior experience in project management or project coordination required; certification preferred but not required.
  • An understanding of project management methodology and software.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working and collaborating with a diverse and dispersed team helpful.
  • Excellent judgement, problem solving, and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills demonstrated at all organizational levels.
  • Experience working with individuals at the executive level preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience or ability to quickly acclimate to project management software, such as Smartsheet, and flowchart diagramming software, such as Visio.
