Suulutaaq, a General Heavy Civil Contractor, is currently looking to hire a Project Manager for our Portland/Oregon City, Oregon construction operations. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects, including schedule, scope, budget and safety considerations under the policies and procedures. This role involves interfacing with the client, subcontractors, field staff and administrative staff to assure goals are achieved, administering client and corporate specific programs, conducting meetings, managing project closeout processes, and tracking costs of field operations. The Project Manager may work on one or more projects simultaneously.

  • Successful execution of assigned projects, including schedule, scope, budget and safety considerations under the policies and procedures.
  • Interfacing with the client, subcontractors, field staff and administrative staff to assure goals are achieved.
  • Administering client and corporate specific programs, such as CQC, Safety, Environmental Stewardship, etc.
  • Conducting pre-construction, progress and other project and staff meetings.
  • Conducting field briefings with field staff, subcontractors and client staff.
  • Managing the punch list and project closeout process to assure timely completion.
  • Invoice approval, subcontractor invoice approval and project closeout.
  • Other responsibilities assigned by the General Manager or the President.
  • Track cost of field operations using data from project control budget.
  • Create and maintain project schedule.
  • Construction Management Degree, Preferred, or minimum of 10 years in civil construction as a Project Manager.
  • PC literate in Microsoft Office applications with proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Primavera P6 scheduling software experience; Preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to pass a drug test as part of the selection process.
  • Candidate must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must have a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Must be able to walk through rough construction sites and lift 70 pounds from the ground.
  • HCSS Heavybid, Heavyjob and Equipment 360.
  • Microsoft project or P6.
  • Bluebeam Software.
  • Recent experience on a Federal or State construction project.
