Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Project Manager. The Project Manager primary functions are to perform site surveys evaluating current electrical and mechanical conditions and create a design to upgrade, replace, or install new electrical infrastructures from utility and generator inputs to a data room floor distribution based on customer requirements. The role involves using modern project management tools and techniques to design and execute projects related to the engineering, procurement, and construction of electrical power system modifications. The Project Manager will lead modernization projects related to electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution industry with specific focus on critical power systems. Responsibilities include delivering projects with a high degree of professionalism and safety, managing a team on awarded projects, and ensuring customer expectations are met according to all contract requirements.

  • Perform site surveys evaluating current electrical and mechanical conditions.
  • Create designs to upgrade, replace, or install new electrical infrastructures.
  • Use modern project management tools to design and execute projects.
  • Lead modernization projects related to electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Deliver projects with professionalism and safety.
  • Manage and direct a team on awarded projects for electrical equipment.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage change orders between customer and Eaton.
  • Manage communication and distribute documentation between Eaton and its customers.
  • Monitor, report, and control costs on assigned projects.
  • Prepare and follow through with project Safety Plan.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution with focus on Project Management, Construction Management, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing field service engineer/technician roles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing electrical projects.
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel within the US and outside of the US without restrictions.
  • Ability to gain access to military and government sites.
  • Candidates must reside in one of the listed locations in order to be considered.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Construction.
  • Retired Military.
  • Efficient with Primavera and/or MS Project.
  • Project Management Professional.
  • Knowledge of data center construction.
  • Working knowledge of packaged equipment solutions.
  • Technical experience in electrical / mechanical / structural / civil construction techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience with EM385 Army Corp of Engineer requirements.
  • Quality Control certifications / experience.
  • Efficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
