About The Position
Polk Mechanical Company LLC is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our dynamic team in DFW, Texas. This position is pivotal in overseeing and managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, which are essential for coordinating the various elements of project management. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing production oversight to the project Superintendent, reviewing project estimates, and ensuring the accuracy of entries into the job cost system. You will also conduct pre-job and ongoing planning meetings to ensure that all team members are aligned with the contract terms, schedules, and any unique project requirements. In this role, you will document the results of planning meetings, develop and maintain project schedules, and monitor personnel schedules to ensure they align with project timelines. You will establish and execute subcontract and equipment buy-outs to support project schedules and funding. Daily visits to job sites will be required to perform inspections, check job progress, and resolve any project or contract issues that may arise. You will also manage scope changes, ensuring they are processed and incorporated into the current scope of work in a timely manner, and provide material takeoff, estimates, and pricing for changes to the work scope. Conducting and attending job meetings according to customer and company guidelines will also be part of your responsibilities.
