About The Position

The Project Manager position at ACTenviro is a full-time role based in Albuquerque, NM, focused on overseeing onsite environmental services at client facilities. This role requires the management of hazardous waste programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and acting as a liaison with various agencies that audit the client's operations. The Project Manager will be responsible for supervising all aspects of waste management, including containerized and bulk waste, emergency response services, and decontamination services. The position demands a proactive approach to ensure that all activities meet the highest standards of safety and compliance, while also maintaining customer satisfaction. In this role, the Project Manager will manage and coordinate the efforts of onsite employees and temporary laborers, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. Regular meetings with clients and staff will be essential to evaluate performance and address any issues that arise. The Project Manager will also be tasked with developing written Standard Operational Procedures and assisting clients in compiling necessary data for regulatory reporting, such as the Generator's Annual Report. Additionally, the Project Manager will conduct facility-wide compliance audits, inspecting staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure adherence to proper housekeeping procedures. Weekly status reports will be provided to facility management and the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) department, and the Project Manager will maintain adequate levels of equipment for emergency response and ongoing projects. The role may require working weekends and extended hours as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of the environmental services industry.
