About The Position

We are presently seeking a Project Manager who will work out of our corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. and is committed to ensuring overall business success and corporate governance. This position will lead the realization of business benefits through effective project delivery. Support the management of PMO capacity and resources. Assist the Director of Enterprise PMO with tracking and maintaining overall governance of projects within programs and portfolios, including roadmaps, prioritization, resources, budgets, and sponsorship.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree (IT, business, engineering, accounting, or equivalent).
  • A Master's degree or MBA is an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in project management/ co-ordination.
  • Practiced requirement gathering, process mapping, data analysis, system administration.
  • Client consulting/ management in multi-party environment is an asset.
  • Cross-functional experience is an asset (e.g. IT, finance, operations etc.).
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or hardware industry is an asset.
  • Project management certification is an asset (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Agile certification is an asset (e.g. CSM, PSM, CSPO, PSPO).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the realization of business benefits through effective project delivery.
  • Support the management of PMO capacity and resources.
  • Support the Head of PMO with the tracking and maintenance of the overall governance of projects within programs and portfolios (roadmaps, prioritization, resources, budgets, sponsorship).
  • Lead the initiation, planning and delivery of cross-functional and complex projects.
  • Build and maintain projects' governance and effective tracking of costs.
  • Facilitate the tracking and resolution of projects related issues and problems with the assigned teams.
  • Capture and document information to ensure reliability for decision making and future reference.
  • Participate in the definition and roll out of a project management office (incl. best practices, artifacts, etc.).
  • Measure and track the realization of business benefits through effective portfolio, program, and project delivery.
  • Add value to managed projects by bringing additional services and practice to raise the quality of projects delivery; organizational change management, process reengineering, data analysis, or business analysis.
  • Connect the dots and have a business acumen to support the company strategic initiatives.
  • Be a leader and an influencer to promote change management.
  • Be an in-house consultant and facilitator to help cross-functional teams solve problems.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement mindset.
