Requirements

  • Must have 2 years of project management experience within an animal rendering facility with exposure to equipment and systems including boilers manufactured by Superior Boiler (S.P.) and J.C.T. or similar as well as Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment.
  • Must have the ability to consistently perform duties, for extended periods, in a challenging work environment, including exposure to high heat, cold, strong odors, and dust.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for organizing and planning daily production meetings.
  • Manage, motivate, develop, and provide direct leadership to maintenance staff.
  • Responsible for hiring and overseeing outside professionals, such as electricians and plumbers.
  • Responsible for inspecting and overseeing the facilities to resolve problems.
  • Perform periodic inspections of recently maintained equipment including Superior Boiler (S.P.), J.C.T., Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment and boilers so as to observe the quality of the maintenance performed and the operating condition of the equipment.
  • Regularly check and inspect the material and tools inventory and place orders when needed.
  • Work with the Maintenance Coordinator for planning and scheduling routine and preventive maintenance of equipment including S.P., J.C.T., Dupps, Haarslev and Alfa Laval equipment and boilers, prioritizing and estimating work and technical assistance when developing job plans.
  • Approving maintenance strategy, including monthly reporting and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) validation.
  • Assist with the implementation of capital projects.
  • Develop timely solutions with alternatives when issues arise.
  • Ensure compliance of quality, health and safety rules, guidelines, and regulations.
