About The Position

The proposed project is a new Indio Juvenile and Family Courthouse for the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside. The project provides a five-courtroom facility. The new Courthouse will replace a two-courtroom function from the existing Juvenile Court, absorb two-courtrooms from family division at existing Larson Justice Center, and provide one new judgeship. Spaces are included for court administration, court clerk, court security operations, holding, and building support space. Site support will include surface parking for court staff and visitors and a secure sallyport for in-custody transport. The proposed building will be approximately 53,255 building gross square feet (BGSF) with surface parking for 150 cars and has eight secure judges’ parking spaces.

Requirements

  • Minimum of (10) years of construction experience serving as a Construction Manager, Construction Management Representative, Owner's Representative. Experience in general construction, concrete, sitework and utility installation.
  • Proven experience preparing cost estimates and Independent Estimates
  • Proven experience preparing Integrated Master Schedules
  • Proven experience in reviewing contractor shop drawings and submittals
  • Proven experience with local government office building projects, with procedural requirements, review requirements, and approval requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing staff and consultants to provide a full range of construction management services, including change management, scheduling, budget analysis, estimating, risk management commissioning, and quality assurance (Safety, MEP, Structural, Life Safety, Fire Prevention)
  • Hold a degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering
  • Certified or pursuing certification as a Construction Manager (CCM) by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMAA)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, building occupants, Designer and the General Contractor
  • Manage and coordinate consultants and staff to provide a full range of construction management services
  • Manage project schedules from inception to close out
  • Lead project meetings, document action items and produce agendas and minutes
  • Review and recommend for approval contractor monthly requisitions and invoices
  • Provide efficient Change Order and cost control management, provide Independent Government Estimates, analyze contractor proposals and make recommendations to JCC
  • Provide Daily reports, Quality Assurance inspections and report on project issues and provide status updates. Weekly and Monthly reports as required by the Client.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.
