ETIC is currently seeking an experienced Mid-Level Project Manager to join our expanding Construction and Field Services Division and support our continued growth. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Environmental-related earth science fields is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Environmental-related earth science fields.
  • 5 or more years of industry experience.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications, including MS Office Suite.
  • Great decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
  • Great written and oral communication and comprehension skills.
  • Must meet company-defined, pre- employment physical, alcohol/drug screen, and background check.
  • Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong project estimating skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency with CAD surface modeling (i.e., AutoCAD Civil 3D or Trimble Business Center).
  • Proficiency in construction surveying and grade checking with GPS equipment preferred.
  • HAZWOPER 40-hour training preferred (but not required).
  • PE, PG, QSP, or QSD preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities will include project management, support in planning and executing field work, interpreting project plans, specifications, and related documents to break down scopes of work and determine project needs, and coordinating various phases of construction work.
  • Field oversight in coordination with the Construction Manager and/or Superintendent. Oversight to include coordination and direction of craft, technical, and administrative personnel as well as subcontractors.
  • Onsite field work also includes preparation of daily project activity and production reports, change orders and supporting contract documentation.
  • Prepare estimates and proposals, including performing quantity takeoffs, requesting subcontractor and vendor quotes, and performing comparisons of received quotes.
  • Write technical approaches and scopes of work.
  • Plan and schedule projects, including preparation of preconstruction submittals, purchase orders and task orders.
  • Create, maintain, and organize field paperwork for on-going projects.
  • May require out of town travel for several weeks at a time for up to several months per project.
  • Coordinate material and equipment deliveries for ongoing projects.
  • Prepare and update construction schedules using critical path method tools (MS Project, etc.)
  • Perform cost tracking to monitor budgets for ongoing projects and prepare project change orders, as needed.
  • Perform stormwater compliance inspections, soil sampling, water sampling, or air monitoring for assigned projects, as needed.
  • Ensure all field procedures and safety protocols are completed to comply with ETIC and client-specific requirements and deadlines.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of client/regulatory requirements and make certain client/regulatory compliance is being met on all projects.
  • Report to the project manager or supervisor on the status of assigned work, and be able to forecast personal utilization and notify the supervisor of availability.
