About The Position

As a Project Manager at JLL, you will be directly responsible for leading and delivering challenging and complex MEP/FP infrastructure projects, with your priorities lying in leveraging your network and focusing on clients' priorities while managing complex commercial and critical systems capital projects in the Northeast regions for a large financial institution with Headquarters in NYC. You will provide subject matter expertise on and management of multiple MEP/FP infrastructure projects across a portfolio of buildings with budgets ranging from $100K to $10M+. Being forward thinking and consistently demonstrating initiative to adopt new technologies and develop efficient processes is key to the impact you will have in this role. Your strong knowledge of construction projects and the project lifecycle from inception to closeout will speak to your ability to push the business forward through innovative and industry changing ideas while providing effective project management to help reduce costs and add value to the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management from an accredited institution required
  • 7-10 years as an MEP/FP Project Manager or similar role
  • Project management certifications (PMP, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of building systems: Central Plant, Emergency Infrastructure, HVAC, Electrical, Fire Protection, etc. and how these systems work
  • Strong knowledge and experience pertaining to project design & development, construction, scheduling, and team management
  • Experience in management of MEP engineering and knowledge of the design process from BOD through construction administration and commissioning.
  • Strong working knowledge of architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
  • Pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, and project delivery methods
  • Strong Scheduling, Project Accounting & Budgetary Capability
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills and ability to creatively solve problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients
  • Experience managing all types/sizes of projects effectively and efficiently
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications and MS Project
  • Experience in Project Management software such as PMWeb, Tririga, Procore, Autodesk, etc.
  • Knowledge of submittal processes, change orders, and contract management

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on and management of multiple MEP/FP infrastructure projects across a portfolio of buildings in the East region
  • Ownership of the overall vision, direction, and management of project development from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives
  • Manage, provide oversight, coordination, and resolve complex project related issues
  • Act as the primary point of contact with the client throughout the duration of the project
  • Guide the client and team through the design implementation process including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documentation
  • Develop, manage, and execute project specific and client driven goals, schedules, budgets, strategy, and detailed assumptions
  • Develop and maintain Master Project Schedules and manage successful execution of multiple projects within intended timeframes
  • Support preparation of various RFPs for professional and contractor services and manage the interview and selection process
  • Facilitate initiation of all critical project meetings and coordination exercises with internal staff and key stakeholders
