About The Position

The Project Manager assures quality workmanship and on time delivery to the client for all projects assigned. Responsibility includes the efficient utilization of Burford’s Construction resources to enhance the return on investment of these resources. The PM does not have the authority to hire or terminate employees. Generally, hiring, termination, and reprimanding of employees will be the responsibility of the management teams. The incumbent’s primary responsibility is to accomplish the assigned task within the parameters of quality and acceptable time frames which are acceptable to the client and the company. Must have a specialty in Civil Construction Burford’s Construction is a leading provider of services in the electric utility industry throughout the Southeastern, Midwestern, and Western United States. With a great team of qualified professionals, Burford’s Construction can serve all project needs. Those services include: Vegetation Maintenance New ROW Clearing ROW Reclamation/Widening Erosion Control Access Matting Civil/Site Grading AND Many More! We offer these services as turnkey support to customers across our service territory in Transmission, Distribution, and Generation. Requirements

  • Must have a specialty in Civil Construction
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal/written communications.
  • Demonstrated negotiating and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated management and business skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in providing leadership, motivation, vision, and direction.
  • High energy level with the ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Proven success in developing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • High commitment to achieving goals and plans.
  • 5+years of experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Project Management, Business, or related field is a plus.
