About The Position

Travel required (IL, OH) ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and progress reports to customers and internal teams. Prepares agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries. Translate customer requirements into actionable tasks for engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams. Collaborate with internal departments—including engineering, production, quality assurance, procurement, and logistics—to ensure all project requirements are met. Coordinate with team members to resolve project issues, eliminate bottlenecks, and maintain workflow efficiency. Proactively identify risk and develop and execute action plans to mitigate risk. Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal capabilities. Monitors task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans. Allocates resources, budgets, and hours to the project and adjusts allocations when necessary. Implement standardized processes and best practices across operations. Track project progress, prepare ROI analyses, and present performance results to leadership. Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor project performance. Analyze data to uncover trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. Support organizational transformation initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Drive a continuous improvement culture through engagement, collaboration, and influence.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Lean tools (5S, VSM, Standard Work, SMED, Kanban, Kaizen).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and coaching abilities.
  • Positive attitude and high degree of internal drive.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and project management tools.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead change without direct authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management
  • Strong background in manufacturing
  • Proven track record of leading cost-reduction and efficiency-improvement projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credential.
  • Experience managing customer-facing manufacturing or engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
