About The Position
14382 – Project Manager (onsite) – Sunrise, FL Start Date : ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration : 12+ months with possible extensions Work Setting: Hybrid, some travel. Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration. Required: Experience managing construction, telecommunications, or life‑safety infrastructure projects (non‑IT). Experience working with Bi‑Directional Antenna (BDA) systems, ERCES, or public‑safety radio coverage solutions. Experience with BDA assessment processes, DAS layouts, signal testing, and NFPA/IFC compliance requirements. Experience coordinating building assessments, vendor activities, and installation timelines across multiple sites. Experience in vendor‑management, including evaluating proposals, selecting contractors, and overseeing deliverables. Experience as a Life Safety Engineer, Public Safety DAS specialist, or similar role. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Serve as the primary liaison between Broward County Public Schools, assessment vendors, installation contractors, and internal stakeholders. Coordinate and oversee building‑by‑building assessments to determine BDA/ERCES needs across district schools. Manage vendor selection, including reviewing proposals, evaluating technical capabilities, and supporting award recommendations. Plan, schedule, and track all phases of BDA system deployment, from assessment through installation and commissioning. Ensure all work complies with NFPA/IFC codes, public‑safety radio coverage standards, and district requirements. Monitor project progress, resolve issues, document risks, and maintain accurate reporting for leadership. Conduct site visits throughout Broward County to verify assessment accuracy, installation quality, and vendor performance.
