About The Position

Must have an active DOE Q clearance. Active, meaning the individual granted a clearance is briefed and currently occupies a position for which the clearance is required. Leidos is seeking a Project Manager to support the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Defense Programs. This position supports the Federal Program Management responsible for nuclear weapons production integration, stockpile sustainment, and modernization programs across the Nuclear Security Enterprise. The selected candidate will operate independently to support one or more mission areas, including: NA-121 – Stockpile Production Integration (production planning, capacity, and execution alignment) NA-122 – Stockpile Sustainment (lifecycle management, reliability, and stockpile health) NA-125 – Office of Stockpile Modernization (development, integration, and transition to production) This role requires coordination across design laboratories, production agencies, and DoD stakeholders, ensuring alignment of program requirements, schedules, and execution across the enterprise. The selected candidate will support integration of program execution across multiple organizations, providing visibility into risks, dependencies, and performance across modernization, sustainment, and production efforts. This is a full-time contractor support position located on-site at NNSA offices in Albuquerque, NM.

Requirements

  • Active DOE Q clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Program Management, Business, or related discipline with 8+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Experience supporting nuclear weapons programs within DOE/NNSA, DoD, national laboratories, or production agencies.
  • Experience in project management, program integration, systems engineering, acquisition support, or related disciplines.
  • Understanding of Nuclear Security Enterprise roles and responsibilities, including design and production agency interfaces.
  • Experience briefing and advising federal officials or military leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Lead integration and execution support across nuclear weapons production, sustainment, and modernization programs.
  • Support Federal Program Management in aligning program requirements, schedules, and deliverables across the Nuclear Security Enterprise.
  • Assess technical, cost, and schedule performance across laboratories, production agencies, and DoD stakeholders.
  • Identify cross-program dependencies, risks, and impacts affecting program execution and delivery; recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with design laboratories, production agencies, and DoD stakeholders to ensure programs are executable and aligned.
  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules, milestones, and execution plans across assigned programs.
  • Provide decision-quality analysis and briefings to federal and military leadership on program status, risks, and execution challenges.
  • Support DOE product realization processes, including development, sustainment, and transition to production.
  • Interface with DoD stakeholders to ensure alignment between stockpile requirements, modernization efforts, and operational needs.
  • Contribute to Air Force Nuclear Certification activities, including production, sustainment, and modernization-related certification considerations.
  • Travel as required to national laboratories, production facilities, and DoD locations to support program execution and integration.
