THE ROLE : The Project Manager plans, monitors, and manages customer projects from initiation through completion. This role secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage budgets, risks, and changes. The Project Manager ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Projects involve assessing water infrastructure (e.g., valves, hydrants), collecting data, and providing actionable insights to clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • PMP certification required (or similar designation)
  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in water or industrial environments (e.g., wastewater treatment, utilities, construction)
  • Proven ability to manage contracts and complex projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including creating presentations for clients
  • Strong people skills, effective verbal and written communication
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to negotiate and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Willingness to provide superior customer support at all times

Responsibilities

  • Organize project execution teams, review contracts, plans, and specifications, and tailor deliverables accordingly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Host project kickoff meetings and align teams with deliverables and timelines.
  • Review technical requirements and submittals; coordinate with vendors and internal teams for compliance.
  • Manage procurement of Xylem products and third-party items while maintaining project profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with project schedules; proactively manage risks and mitigate delays.
  • Coordinate testing approvals, start-up, commissioning, and project close-out.
  • Handle contracts and ensure proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.
