About The Position

To provide project management expertise for all AES related services and applicable sales and service projects generated by both the Stockton and Sacramento Branches.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, as well as basic electrical and mechanical engineering principals
  • Ability to apply and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email, DBS, CSQ, Uptake Systems (Condition Monitoring, Saleslink, Service Link, Ps quoter
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.S.E.) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or 5 years of experience in AES projects and New Generator Start-ups for a Power Systems Distributor.
  • Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable DMV driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage AES service projects, including but not limited to UPS, ATS, Control Panel Upgrades, Thermography etc. This includes Technician and PSSR support during the duration of the project
  • Assist in managing and developing new AES services, processes, and procedures to be implemented and offered to our customer base
  • Works with sales/service coordinators and salespeople in processing paperwork on sales & service projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Read and understand complex bid documents and be able to ascertain proper equipment to meet specifications.
  • Ask detailed questions from all providers to ensure clarity for project deadlines and budgets.
  • Assist Holt salesmen with initial specs and budgets to ensure timely execution of plans
  • Negotiate with contractor/end user/engineer to maximize value proposition for all transactional parties.
  • Prepare/modify CAD/CAM electrical and mechanical drawings for gensets, engines, and associated accessories
  • Manage submittals, material acquisition and project management duties for the sales department.
  • Engage at jobsites, with engineering consultants, and end users as a value added engineering resource and to facilitate contract process.
  • Provide final results (profit and loss) of all projects, including summaries of what went well and what needs to be improved. Work with all levels of management to implement changes.
  • Coordinates all activities with sales coordinators and salespeople on sales transactions.
  • Integrate with Caterpillar engineering, CSQ, and TMI for engineering assistance
