The Project Manager oversees the execution of fire, flood, and disaster restoration projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for project scoping, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication. By ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards, the Project Manager supports operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and Total Restoration Industries’ reputation as a trusted industry leader.

  • Project Leadership & Oversight Lead restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to TRI’s quality standards.
  • Be present on-site as needed; when you leave, work pauses until your return.
  • Monitor progress across multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
  • Subcontractor & Crew Supervision Supervise subcontractors to ensure accurate hours, crew counts, and quality of work.
  • Enforce adherence to TRI branding (dress code) and PPE requirements; document compliance with photos.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subcontractors and field staff.
  • Halt work if safety, quality, or compliance standards are not being met.
  • Quality Control & Compliance Confirm HEPA vacuuming is performed and photographed on every job.
  • Ensure daily moisture readings, soot samples, equipment placement logs, and job photographs are completed.
  • Run calculations using IICRC standards to determine proper drying equipment needs.
  • Verify adequate electrical supply to support equipment; coordinate temporary solutions if needed.
  • Documentation & Billing Collect all required signed documents from insured clients (work authorization, packout agreement, certificate of satisfaction).
  • Draft bills and sketches before job completion to meet lead-time KPIs.
  • Complete Docusketch scans on fire losses and large water damage projects.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, timely, and uploaded into Trello or other company systems.
  • Client & Partner Communication Serve as the primary on-site point of contact, explaining processes, setting expectations, and providing daily updates.
  • Maintain regular communication with insurance adjusters, carriers, and referral sources; provide professional email updates on job status.
  • Represent TRI with professionalism, integrity, and respect in all client and partner interactions.
  • Logistics & Supplies Ensure all necessary materials, tools, PPE, spare equipment, and supplies are stocked and ready on-site.
  • Anticipate supply needs and coordinate replenishment to prevent delays.
  • Business Development Support Build and maintain strong relationships with adjusters, property managers, and referral sources to support repeat and referral business.
  • Identify and coordinate additional revenue opportunities, including packouts, dry cleaning, asbestos abatement, repairs, and other services.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project management. Restoration, construction, or insurance-related industries only.
  • Proficiency in Xactimate a must.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and manage field teams effectively.
  • Experience with insurance claims related to fire and flood restoration.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • IICRC certified a plus.
