About The Position

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the overall execution, financial performance, and client satisfaction of assigned restoration and reconstruction projects. This role leads projects from initial scope through final completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents, insurance carrier guidelines, and company standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for property owners, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, and internal teams. You will oversee field operations, manage budgets and schedules, review estimates, monitor job cost performance, and drive projects to successful closeout. This role requires strong construction knowledge, leadership capability, financial discipline, and professional communication skills. You are not only managing projects — you are managing client expectations, risk, and profitability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of construction project management or insurance restoration experience.
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial building systems and materials
  • Experience managing project budgets and job cost reporting.
  • Experience supervising teams of 2+ personnel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution Review scopes of work, contracts, and loss documentation to develop clear project plans.
  • Create and/or review mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate in alignment with IICRC standards and carrier guidelines.
  • Develop job schedules and coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect progress, verify quality, and ensure compliance with scope.
  • Proactively identify scope gaps, change orders, and risk exposures.
  • Financial & Budget Management Manage job cost performance and gross profit margins.
  • Track labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Approve vendor invoices and ensure proper coding to job cost.
  • Communicate all billable events and change orders in real time.
  • Work closely with estimating and accounting to ensure accurate billing and timely collections.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication Serve as primary contact for property owners and insurance adjusters.
  • Clearly explain project scope, timelines, and next steps.
  • Provide consistent updates to clients throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Resolve concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Secure approvals, documentation, and payments as required.
  • Field Leadership Supervise and support field technicians, crew leads, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct quality control inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Mentor and train developing team members.
  • Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate job documentation including photos, notes, and reports.
  • Upload required documentation into operating systems/software.
  • Ensure files meet insurance carrier audit standards.
  • Perform final walkthroughs and obtain completion documentation.
