About The Position

The Project Manager's primary responsibility is to oversee and manage all phases of the project timeline, ensuring seamless execution. This allows our Outside Sales Engineers (OSE's) to dedicate at least 60% of their efforts to external, client-facing activities, maximizing their productivity and impact. The Project Manager will drive project development by managing product sizing and selection, quote generation, order entry and processing, material tracking, timeline updates, and clear communication with all internal and external stakeholders. These responsibilities are not exhaustive; and additional related duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience with a background in HVAC or Plumbing
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field is required, with a 4-year degree preferred.
  • A valid drivers license with a driving record that meets the requirements of our liability carrier.
  • Proven experience in Plumbing and/or HVAC industries.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Escalate and manage expedited orders with urgency and ensure manufacturer lead times are actively monitored and communicated.
  • Keep Outside Sales Engineers (OSEs) and customers updated on delivery schedule changes using information from internal and external sources.
  • Ensure order entry accuracy, align sales and factory purchase orders with submittals and customer purchase orders, and involve OSEs as necessary.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce daily for accurate opportunity tracking and status updates.
  • Communicate opportunity line-level status within active commercial quotations in Salesforce and use the Chatter function to keep all involved parties informed.
  • Review OSE open order pipelines for accuracy and assist with interpreting construction bid documents to generate equipment selections, budget pricing, and formal quotations.
  • Utilize factory-provided software/web tools for equipment selection.
  • Coordinate with the CHC Service Division for start-ups and warranty cases through Salesforce.
  • Act as a liaison for OSEs in external communication via phone, email, video meetings, or other methods.
  • Support OSEs by consolidating information, identifying leads, and developing customer relationships.
  • Provide customers with standard application drawings based on their requirements.
  • Collaborate with OSEs on competitive pricing situations and special net requests to manufacturers.
  • Adhere to wage procedures and communicate updates during internal job log meetings.
  • Report customer and business trends to the Division Sales Manager and participate in travel for meetings, training, or job site visits as necessary.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with customers and staff.
  • Foster cooperative working relationships with CHC staff.
  • Stay current with department policies and procedures outlined in the Department Manual.
  • Additional responsibilities related to warehouse operations, including inventory and will-call, will be defined as the process develops.
  • Other duties as assigned by CHC Management.
