Requirements

  • Construction industry knowledge (preferred).
  • Project Management experience (PMP is ideal, but not required.).
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and ability to adapt to changing timelines, while maintaining attention to detail and demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Internal drive with an entrepreneurial nature and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Strong personal leadership abilities including meeting management, facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, collaboration, and prioritization.
  • Familiarity with construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, familiarity with software such as Bluebeam/AutoCAD, and an enthusiasm for learning new software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Be the project leader on the execution of large and/or complex lighting construction jobs.
  • Become the resident expert on the job - Review construction documents and research all aspects of the project to ensure specifications are met. Communicate with sales and quotation team to address any questions or inconsistencies.
  • Generate submittal documents for approval by the client, addressing any changes required, and resubmitting for revised documents for final approval.
  • Lead preconstruction meetings with the electrical contractor to ensure clarity around the project and order accuracy.
  • Work with customer service to ensure orders are entered accurately with our manufacturers.
  • Coordinate job site lighting start-up activity with MZ's service team.
  • Generate regular status documents tracking the progress of the job.
  • Close out the job - provide warranty information, create and submit operation & maintenance manuals and ensure that billing has occurred.
