About The Position

The Department of Community and Behavioral Health at ETSU is currently seeking a Grant Project Manager. The researcher will play a key role in conducting and coordinating activities for a new NIH-funded study evaluating how the use of drinking water filters may improve health outcomes among individuals living in rural regions reliant on well or spring water sources. This position involves leading and coordinating research activities, including study implementation, data collection, quality assurance, and collaboration with community and academic partners.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel throughout the Northeast Tennessee region approximately two to three days per week, with occasional overnight and weekend travel as required by the research project.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate productively within team environments.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and project responsibilities.
  • Ability to coordinate and lead data collection activities, including oversight of laboratory sample chain-of-custody procedures and travel logistics.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, planning, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and one to three years of relevant experience OR An equivalent combination of education and work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
  • Experience administering research surveys and/or working in a research laboratory
  • Experience with clinical trials
  • Experience with program monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience working with database management software such as REDCap
