About The Position

MUST BE A US CITIZEN: WPS is looking for a contract to hire Project Manager that will help them establish how projects are ran. Someone with program and portfolio experience and that can take a look at current governance. They need someone who has significant experience in delivering work in an Agile environment. They need to have extensive experience in PI planning. This role with be part Project Management and part helping leadership establish a better PMO. This role will interact with executives a lot (they struggle with people being intimidated by executives). Flexible with tools but have Microsoft project and are implementing SPM in ServiceNow. Need to be onsite in Madison 3 days/week (Mon,Tue,Thursday). 3 step interview process with first and third step being onsite at WPS.

Drive consistent execution and delivery across complex, cross-functional programs by establishing portfolio governance frameworks and aligning initiatives with strategic business objectives.
Lead programs or projects from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence while proactively managing risks, resolving issues, and maintaining momentum.
Facilitate executive-level reviews to support accountability and accelerate decision-making.
Oversee resource planning and financial management to optimize investments and ensure program efficiency.
Foster strong stakeholder relationships and communicate program status and outcomes with clarity to ensure alignment, strategic cohesion, and sustained delivery performance.
Leverage the SAFe framework to coordinate Agile Release Trains and facilitate effective PI Planning, ensuring synchronized execution and alignment across teams and programs.
