About The Position

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Project Manager to join our Research Excellence department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Requirements

  • Level 1: Bachelor’s degree in business management, Project Management, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Level 2: Bachelor’s and 2 years of experience OR Master’s and 0 years of experience OR PhD and 0 years' experience.
  • Relevant experience: functioning as a project lead, project manager, or lead role commensurate with level.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate, Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification, or other equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, and objectives.
  • Develop a detailed project plan, including tasks, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Assemble and lead a project team, delegating tasks and fostering collaboration.
  • Monitor project progress, track performance against metrics, and ensure adherence to schedule and budget.
  • Identify and resolve project-related risks, issues, and scope creep.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status and updates effectively.
  • Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage the project budget and resources efficiently.
  • Close out the project, including getting formal sign-off and documenting lessons learned.
  • Manage all projects in accordance with BEA procedures and policies.
  • Review inter-organizational agreements and subcontract packages for completeness and conformity to project requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, and interface with the customer, regarding General and Special Conditions.
  • Participate in subcontract amendment negotiations and obtain necessary corporate and customer approvals.
  • Perform project closeout activities including final cost report and project records closeout.
  • Other duties as assigned.
