The J. Paul Getty Trust seeks a Project Manager to support Getty’s Vice-President for Getty-wide Program Planning in a fast-paced environment that involves extensive communications and coordination among stakeholders working with the Vice President of Program Planning. This newly created role is responsible for coordinating the planning process for projects that span the four Getty programs: Getty Museum, Getty Research Institute, Getty Conservation Institute, and Getty Foundation. The Project Manager will interact and work with internal and external stakeholders, including program staff, business units and staff across Getty, and outside partner organizations. Under the pressure of tight deadlines, the Project Manager should be flexible and undertake the coordination of multiple projects at various levels of completion; develop, monitor, and manage timelines and budgets; conduct background research; maintain records and documentation; and communicate with management. The Project Manager may help plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and the adaptability to respond to changing deadlines and priorities, along with the discretion to handle highly sensitive business matters and materials.
