About The Position

For over 35 years, Yorktel has been the video managed services partner around the world for some of the largest business and government agencies. With over 10,000 video systems under management worldwide – more than any other video communications service provider – Yorktel has the proven expertise and global reach to deliver enterprise-quality visual communications. Yorktel is currently seeking a Project Manager who is a member of the Project Management Office within York Telecom Corporation. A qualified Project Manager will apply their industry knowledge, experience, interpersonal skills and administrative techniques to coordinate activities to implement unified visual communications solutions for York Telecom customers.

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in Project Management in a Customer Service area
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a Technical Field
  • Domestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area.
  • International travel may be required.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license is a requirement and must have a positive driver’s abstract.
  • Current valid U.S. Passport.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
  • Limited weekend and/or night work may be required
  • Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or equivalent Project Management Certification desired
  • Bi-lingual capability is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating all internal and external tasks to deploy assigned service projects
  • Ability to handle several large to mid-size projects as well as several additional smaller projects simultaneously
  • Responsible for conducting internal and external kickoff meetings for projects and establishing project schedules
  • Responsible for scheduling and holding project status meetings, as necessary
  • Ability to project job cost assessment and tracking related to each effort as well as providing monthly project forecasts
  • Support and assist the Sales team on project timelines and RFP responses as requested
  • Interface with vendors as necessary
  • Act as Single Point of Contact during project execution
  • Able to lead the Project Team to meet assigned success criteria
  • Lead by Example on all engagements
  • Responsible for overall client satisfaction
  • Direct and collaborate with Project Coordinators for completion of back-office tasks
