JOB OVERVIEW The Project Manager will have an integral role in working with program teams to plan, develop, and deploy systems to implement programs that support and accelerate the scale and penetration of clean energy and energy efficiency. The Project Manager will serve as a liaison between program teams and IT teams both within and outside of NYSERDA. They will use their knowledge of project management, business analysis, and the software development life cycle to translate program rules into business requirements that can be converted by technical teams into system requirements. The Project Manager will manage projects for multiple teams to ensure that program systems operate properly and support the goals of the programs.

Requirements

  • Software development life cycle and systems-related project management experience.
  • Business analysis and requirements documentation proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in systems development-related project management.

  • Familiarity with energy efficiency and clean energy programs.

  • Masters’ degree and 4 years of experience in systems development-related project management

Responsibilities

  • Gather program requirements to inform business requirements development Work with program teams to confirm program requirements and create business requirements, including user stories, and use cases.
  • Standards and templates development Work with multiple NYSERDA teams to create, maintain, and improve standards and templates, including program and business requirement documentation, workflow mapping, user journey mapping, and regression testing, amongst others.
  • Cross-cutting systems development project management Manage cross-cutting systems development projects, overseeing the business requirement development, project and sprint management, test planning and execution, and regression testing. Work closely with NYSERDA program and IT teams and external vendors to manage system development projects.
  • Tracking and prioritization of systems build requests Provide operational support for the program teams by intaking and triaging support requests for existing systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues with individual systems, and providing knowledge transfer to the program teams.
  • Program data structures and reporting structures standardization Meaningfully contribute to ongoing efforts to achieve reasonable standardization of program data structures and reporting structures.
