About The Position

CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a significant financial system integration initiative. The focus of this project is the delivery of a new interface connecting the agency federal financials application with the federal travel management solution. This role will be responsible for managing a high-visibility, multi-agency effort that involves intricate financial, technical, and regulatory requirements. Success in this position requires ensuring alignment with federal reporting standards, the goals of the federal agency and federal travel system's specifications. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • 10+ years of IT project management experience, including 5+ years leading federal financial system integration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of federal acquisition, security, and financial management requirements.
  • Outstanding communication skills, stakeholder engagement, risk management expertise, and team leadership abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with CGI Momentum financial systems.
  • Familiarity with federal travel systems such as ETS2
  • Background in overseeing API-, batch-, or RPA-based integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive project leadership, which includes developing and maintaining the Project Management Plan, managing the schedule, planning resources, overseeing communications, and mitigating risks.
  • Coordinate activities among partner agencies ensuring all efforts align with client objectives.
  • Supervise the design, development, testing, and deployment of a secure and automated financial interface that supports bidirectional data exchange between travel and financial applications
  • Ensure that all activities comply with federal financial management standards, including the DATA Act, OMB A-123, Treasury reporting requirements, and FIBF technical standards.
  • Oversee the creation of technical documentation, which includes System Design Documents (SDD), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
  • Direct the execution of various testing phases, such as Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and support for IV&V coordination.
  • Lead the planning and execution of cutover and transition activities, and provide post-implementation support for the new travel system
  • Ensure that bridge interface components are designed to be clearly isolated, temporary, and ready for decommissioning as specified in system requirements.
  • Work closely with technical and functional leads to guarantee requirements traceability, maintain quality assurance, and ensure operational readiness.
  • The Project Manager will serve as a central leadership resource, accountable for project strategy, oversight of execution, team management, and coordination among stakeholders, including federal clients and internal CGI teams.
