About The Position

Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing execution of construction projects in accordance with client's documents and quality requirements. Responsible for organizing and executing the project safety compliance program and initiating project safety meetings for on-site supervisors and labor force. Maintain provisions and requirements of all contract documents and develop and/or analyze the preliminary project documentation. Develop and direct long-term planning project schedule and communicate/coordinate schedule & plan with subcontractors and vendors. Recognize on-site activities that may jeopardize project/contract requirements and implement corrective measures while preparing related informational documents to the responsible parties. Maintain strict control of the project budget for each work activity, reporting monthly on the progress and current profitability of the project. Prepare, quote and negotiate subcontracts, contract changes and purchase orders. Participate in bidding, pre-construction services, and budgeting. 50% domestic travel to client locations required. Three (3) days a week are required in the office or on the project site.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering, foreign equivalent or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the job offered, Project Engineer or similar occupations.
  • Construction Methods & Engineering - Understanding construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Project Planning & Scheduling - Proficiency in scheduling tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, and critical path method (CPM).
  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting - Knowledge of cost control methods, earned value management (EVM), and financial planning.
  • Contract Management - Expertise in FIDIC, NEC, EPC, or other industrial contracts, claims management, and risk allocation.
  • Quality & Safety Management - Compliance with OSHA, ISO, or other relevant safety and quality standards.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation - Identifying and addressing potential project risks proactively.
  • Crisis Handling - Managing unforeseen issues like safety incidents, supply chain disruptions, or legal disputes.
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) - Working with 3D modeling tools like Revit or Navisworks.
  • Project Management Software - Familiarity with Procore, Primavera, and other PM softwares.
  • IoT & Automation Awareness - Understanding how industrial automation and IoT impact construction.
