TABER , the leading manufacturer of custom millwork, metalwork, and upholstery in Orange County, is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the architectural millwork industry, excellent communication and organizational skills. You will be responsible for bringing our amazing projects to reality. Your projects will be amongst some of the largest and most preeminent ones in Southern California, and you will be working with many of the biggest contractors and sophisticated owners and architects. Are you ready to Be Awesome? Job Duties: From project handoff by the estimating department all the way to the final punch list item, you will be responsible for the success of your projects. Orchestrate, coordinate, and delegate all necessary work relating to your projects Maintain clear and constant communication with the clients, architects and owners as necessary. Identify all long lead time items, design issues and other potential challenges and communicate with client to collaborate on the project schedule. Review shop drawings and all red line revisions. Be dynamic and able to resolve issues and make decisions on projects as they arise. Maintain an acceptable daily work schedule necessary to complete all required tasks. Work the hours necessary to ensure successful completion of your projects. Identify and ensure all Change Order Requests (COR’s) are complete, accurate and sent to the client in a timely manner. Coordinate with department heads to keep your projects moving and on schedule. Acknowledge problems, issues, and all ambiguous information and send Requests For Information (RFI’s) as needed to client. Prepare billing schedules at project outset, update monthly and forecasted billing percentages to the client for approval at the outset of every month. Ensure all material necessary for fabrication has been ordered and arrives prior to fabrication. Collaborate with fellow project managers to solve problems. Support estimating team as needed. Coordinate, negotiate, and schedule all subcontractors to ensure the budget is met and the schedule is maintained. Identify all necessary significant cash needs (over $5,000) for any product or services required. Attend meetings with architects, owners, construction managers, other subcontractors, vendors, and anyone else related to the successful completion of the project Fulfill the Taber Promise be awesome
