About The Position

The project manager is responsible for the overall execution of projects related to the design, build, and installation of a client-facing or inter-company system. They will work with multiple teams across the company, (including sales, manufacturing, and engineering), to coordinate all workflows related to their assigned projects and make sure the finished systems are delivered on time and on budget. The project manager reports to the program manager and assists them in developing the overall direction of project implementation procedures The project manager also is the point of contact for the client representative in all communications regarding their project logistics and works with other members of the program management team to ensure efficient processing of project logistics. On-site client visits and installation supervision will be required from time to time. The ideal person will have excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work with many workstreams on multiple projects at the same time. The ability to communicate complex concepts in a straightforward manner to clients and other stakeholders and grasp the big picture from many smaller details is also required. This person will also need to embrace working with teams from many different disciplines, even when a certain subject may not be in their area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years’ experience is required. Experience in Project Management in the technology, construction or a related industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Previous experience in A/V, Projection, LED display, or other technology applications preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic computer networking schemes is preferred.
  • Basic skills in one or more pieces of scheduling software. (SmartSheet, Jira, Microsoft Project, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision, but aware of when to bring in other team resources.
  • Strong coordination, organization, and teaming abilities with many different professional groups and clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
  • Excellent Communication (written, verbal, and presentation), and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to set clear expectations and priorities to other team members and groups.
  • Periodic travel to customer sites is required

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact for all aspects of assigned system projects for both internal and external communications.
  • Create and monitor project schedule to confirm all processes remain on schedule.
  • Work with the Sales team to confirm all aspects of a system sale and included deliverables.
  • Confirm and manage required timeframes with the system engineering and manufacturing teams for designs and builds of physical equipment/deliverables.
  • Work with the assigned project engineer to develop and finalize Site Preparation Guides for a specific site. Deliver to the client and confirm that all aspects listed in documents are adhered to prior to installation of the system.
  • Work with external contractors on large-scale projects (Architects, General Contractors, etc.), to ensure system requirements are met and completed for the needs of the system to be delivered.
  • Work with the project coordinator to confirm all ordering, logistics and other administrative considerations are met for assigned projects
  • Perform customer visits as needed to confirm site measurements, schedule, and other details.
  • Work with the program manager to schedule the installation of the system, and assign resources for on-site work.
  • Act as the point of contact for assigned field service engineers on site during the installation.
  • Work with the full program management team to develop and improve project execution methods and tools.
  • Conduct post-install meetings to gather information for the ongoing goal of improving on-site efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure close-out of project and hand off to the service and support team is managed and completed in a timely and organized fashion
  • Manage on-site installation teams as required by the program manager on large-scale projects.
