We are seeking an individual who is ambitious, self-motivated and who strives to represent HAPO’s core commitment “Be in the Moment” and standard of service “Defy Expectations” with our members, community as well as the team they are a part of. Ideal candidates will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of project-planning tools. They will have strong familiarity with project management methodologies including agile approaches. Candidates will have a strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.

  • Analyze project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
  • Track progress and review project tasks to ensure deadlines are met appropriately.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline a work plan.
  • Establish a work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations, or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Implement a project communication plan.
  • Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans.
  • Monitor project activities, ensuring the timing, quality, and integrity of information, while providing consistency in content and “look and feel” across the organization.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems (or a related field), project management or general business management.
  • Alternatively, equivalent IT experience.
  • Must be able to work 35-40 hours a week between the hours of 9:00am – 6:00pm M-F
  • This position may require occasional project work outside of normal business hours and the ability to work on weekends and afterhours, when necessary.
