Requirements

  • Experience in commercial construction project management
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and cost control
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with estimating, project management, and accounting software is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all phases of the construction process from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
  • Monitor progress to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and legal requirements
  • Review plans and specifications to verify work is being completed as specified
  • Manage and mentor project team members
  • Oversee the bid process for both negotiated and hard-bid projects
  • Clarify scope requirements internally and externally
  • Generate proposal letters for project owners
  • Prepare complete and detailed bid sheets for internal review prior to client presentation
  • Manage the submittal process
  • Develop and maintain project budgets throughout the design and construction process
  • Monitor budgets using accounting software and provide regular financial updates
  • Review and approve labor, material invoices, and subcontractor pay applications
  • Provide weekly updates to leadership regarding budget and schedule milestones
  • Assist with scheduling self-perform labor on assigned projects
  • Continue developing skills in estimating and project management software
