About The Position

AC Martin is an innovative, award-winning architecture and interior design firm with offices located in Los Angeles, Sacramento, and the Bay Area. Our work is a mix of K-12, Community Colleges, Civic/Government, Higher Education, Market Rate Housing, Urban Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Industrial, Planning, and Programming. We are looking for highly talented, motivated, and creative individuals to be contributing members of our Public Sector, including the K-12, Community College, and Civic/Government studios. Be part of an innovative and fun-loving design team working on a variety of current architectural and interior project types of all scales. We currently offer a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days in the office, 2-3 days working from home, and half-day on Fridays. A Project Manager manages multiple small to medium projects, coordinates all aspects of assigned projects, and estimates the scope of work. Prepares strategic plans for project success. Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. Works with the project team and mentors junior staff. May serve as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction. May perform as a project architect. Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; and project team assignments. Estimates fees, determine the scope of work and prepares proposals and contracts.

Requirements

  • Eight or more years of experience or equivalent in all phases of architecture.
  • Licensed architect preferred.
  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in architecture or equivalent is required.
  • Additional industry certifications desired (LEED, DBIA, CDT, etc.).
  • Must have knowledge of BIM fundamentals and other software.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares strategic plans for project success.
  • Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts – administrative and technical – to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • May serve as the primary client liaison to ensure the completion of the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
  • Estimates fees, determines scope of work, prepares proposals, contracts, and change orders/ASRs with the overview of the project PIC.
  • Must use BIM, Deltek, and other software used in the production of project administration and construction documentation.
  • May serve as a project architect.
  • Works directly with principal, project director, design director, senior designer, project architect.
