About The Position

A Project Manager is responsible for managing all phases of construction projects. This includes maintaining relationships with general contractors, suppliers, engineers, and superintendents. The Project Manager ensures that assigned projects are completed on time and within scope and budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Review the language and scope of project contracts before execution.
  • Schedule and coordinate project schedules, track progress and adjust timelines as needed.
  • Oversee and guide field supervision on building projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Report regularly on project status to the Vice President of Construction.
  • Perform Buyout on Project and Issue Purchase Orders for Vendors.
  • Assist Contract Administrator with project requirement submissions.
  • Communicate project administrative requirements with subcontractor and vender after Letter of intent has been sent, per project requirements.
  • Establish contacts and create relationships with office and field staff of subcontractors/vendors.
  • Discuss expectations of work quality. Share schedule and track future requests accordingly.
  • Request, review, and process submittals, RFIs, shop drawings.
  • Gather installation conflict information from plans, surveys, or field conditions and create, distribute, and track Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Track project spending against the allocated budget.
  • Quantify real-world production rates to verify the pace of the project meets or exceeds bid production rates.
  • Apply for permits under the relevant municipalities and monitor application progress until approval is obtained.
  • Code vendor invoices, field receipts and subcontractors A1As, for processing.
  • Draft monthly billings projects billings.
  • Prepare and submit T&M work.
  • Prepare, submit and monitor change orders and approvals to input into Timberline.
