Based in our Fargo or Alexandria offices, we are seeking an organized and experienced Automation Project Manager to join our team. The Automation Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering mission-critical building automation systems for data center projects, ensuring reliability, redundancy, schedule adherence, and compliance with strict operational and owner requirements. Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of BAS, controls, or mission-critical project management experience
  • HVAC or electrical experience will also be considered
  • Strong understanding of data center mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Adobe/Bluebeam

Nice To Haves

  • Data center project experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • This role manages the building automation scope from design coordination through commissioning and turnover, with a strong emphasis on risk management, change control, documentation, and system performance in always-on environments.
  • The Automation Project Manager responsibilities extend to scheduling, budgeting, design coordination, and commissioning support.
  • The Automation Project Manager will ensure control strategies meet redundancy requirements and support system acceptance testing, integrated systems testing, and phased turnovers.
  • The Automation Project Manager will also serve as the primary BAS point of contact, oversee documentation and owner training, and support installation staff development and performance evaluations.
  • The Automation Project Manager will also oversee or schedule the ordering of materials, resources, staffing, and subcontractors, while working closely with owners and contractors.
