OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY: The Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Lynchburg project staff by planning and coordinating project scheduling, leading the execution of site cross-functional projects, developing timelines, taking meeting minutes and action items during team meetings and performing basic follow up tasks. The role requires entry level project management skills, demonstrated by the ability to facilitate project team meetings within a rapidly evolving, cross-functional, regulated environment. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the new product introduction process and technical service projects such as cost savings and product reformulations. The role requires strong cross-functional business acumen demonstrated by working with multiple departments such as Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering and Operations. The Project Manager will work across multiple teams within a matrix organization to schedule project team meetings, organize resources, and manage across-project activities. The individual will have experience working in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners at various levels within the organization.
